57 years of Asilikos… and the story continues
In March 1968, our predecessor Asikos Strahlmittel GmbH launched its new brand Asilikos – a revolutionary alternative to traditional blasting abrasives.
Unlike conventional products that contained harmful quartz sand, Asilikos was made from synthetic aluminium silicate derived from coal slag granulate. Innovative for its time, Asilikos set new industry standards and turned out to be a true success story. To this day, the brand continues to enjoy great popularity in the market. Its efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and ease of disposal is highly valued by our customers worldwide.
We’re not resting on our laurels: In May 2025, we will launch Asilikos New with an adapted composition. The new Asilikos is a mineral-based, environmentally friendly abrasive that combines synthetic aluminium silicate from slag granules with natural aluminium silicate from volcanic lava.
With this modified composition, we are securing the product’s continued success and ensuring its availability for our loyal customers who have relied on it for so long.
