Road construction and civil engineering

We offer a range of high-performance blast cleaning abrasives for the surface preparation and pre-treatment of dams, bridges, viaducts and locks.

Bridge

Abragrit iron silicate grit is ideal for the effective removal of mill scale, rust, paint and dirt.

Environmentally friendly and free from quartz, Abragrit enables you to achieve cleanliness grades SA-3, SA-2½, SA-2 and SA-1. Surface preparation is vital when surfaces are to be protected by a film-forming material such as paint. Good surface preparation extends the lifetime of the paint, meaning less maintenance and therefore lower costs.

Dams, bridges and locks often suffer heavy corrosion. That’s why high-quality corrosion protection — in combination with proper surface preparation of the steel — is so important.

Major projects our abrasives have supported include the John Frost Bridge near Arnhem (better known as "The Bridge Too Far"), the locks at IJmuiden, and the Oosterscheldekering and Maeslantkering storm surge barriers.

We offer tailored logistics solutions for large-scale blast cleaning and surface preparation projects with flexible storage and silo arrangements.
